Information:
Intro to Drawing – Supply List
You do not need expensive materials for this class. Great drawings come from practice — not price tags. Dollar store supplies are absolutely fine to start with.
If you want to invest in slightly better-quality materials, Michaels carries a wider selection of drawing supplies, including specialty items like kneaded erasers and blending stumps. But again — this is optional.
Bring to the First Class (at minimum):
● A handful of yellow school pencils or artist-grade drawing pencils
● A pencil sharpener
● A standard eraser
● A blue pen
● A black pen
● A sketchbook
If you don’t have a sketchbook, you can bring:
● Loose printer paper
● A binder
We can hole-punch your sketches in class and bind them together.
Optional (Nice to Have, But Not Required)
These are not be available at dollar stores:
● Kneaded eraser
● Blending stumps
● A small range of drawing pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, etc.)
You can start with very basic materials and upgrade later if you feel inclined.
Come to the first class with what you have. We’ll build from there
